Happy Birthday Conner!

Yea!!! Conner turned 1 year old on July 25, 2008. It has been an amazing year with lots of twists and turns, but God has given us our little miracle to enjoy and love. It is hard to believe it has already been one year since Conner was born at 26 weeks weighing 1 lb. 10 oz. He had a rough start, but today he weighs 19 lbs, and is catching up to his chronological age very quickly.

We had a party with some of the boys' little friends and in total we had 13 kids there that day. Eleven of them were under the age of 7 which made for a lot of fun and running around. We grilled some hamburgers and hot dogs.


Then, everyone came into the living room to watch Conner open his presents. He tried to get into it, but with Ethan and other kids there to help, he didn't have to do much. He got a lot of very nice gifts and we are trying to explain to Ethan that those are Conner's toys so he has to share them with Conner when he wants them. This is a new concept for Ethan. It is fun having a brother, but not so much when they take toys away!

After the presents we got out the cake and everyone sang Happy Birthday. Conner wasn't sure what all the commotion was about, so he was watching everyone very intently. He had is very own cake in the shape of a star and everyone else had another one. At first he didn't know what to do. He wasn't to sure about the feeling of the frosting on his fingers and tried to pull Daddy in to help him. Then after a while he started pushing it around and making a mess.


God is so good to us and we are so thankful that he has allowed us to be a part of Conner's amazing story. He is such a sweet boy and is so happy and smiling most of the time. He is very determined and always keeps moving to get where he wants to go. He truly is a little miracle boy and he blesses everyone who meets him. Thank you Lord for this wonderful boy and for allowing us to be his parents. We love you Conner!
